Mindsake was founded by Professor Patrick Bolton and Dr Joanne Cheung to improve access to high-quality mental health providers who share a common vision of compassionate, evidence-based, and personalised care. Drawing on their clinical and academic experience, they recognised the challenges individuals and families face in navigating mental health services, and created Mindsake, to support both patients and clinicians by providing:
This allows clinicians to focus fully on delivering high-quality care and to offer a more seamless and trusted way to connect with the right support.
Your care is provided by the independent clinician you book with. They are responsible for your assessment, diagnosis and treatment, hold their own professional registration and insurance, and maintain your clinical records.
Mindsake provides the technology and administrative support around your care, including booking, secure video, the records platform and billing. When you pay, Mindsake collects payment on your clinician’s behalf and passes it to them. Your agreement for clinical care is with your clinician.
This depends on your clinician. Some clinicians offer both; some see patients only in person, and some offer diagnostic assessment only rather than ongoing treatment. Each clinician’s profile states clearly what they offer, so you know before you book.
Concerns about clinical care go to your clinician in the first instance.. For concerns about booking, billing or the website, please contact Mindsake. Our complaints guidance explains both routes.
